May was the start of Spring Term. As well as the normal Fall/Winter Semesters, BYU offers shorter
Spring and Summer Terms where you can take fewer classes at an accelerated rate. They only last about a month and a half,
as opposed to the usual three. During this term I took Chem 105 and Hum 202 (Arts in Western Culture). It was probably the
hardest month and a half of my college life (so far).

My chemistry class was near the duck pond, and I went there nearly every day to feed the ducks. |

As a result, I became very attached to five orphaned baby ducks who lived there. |

Since I came every day, they got so used to me that soon they ate cheerios right out of my hand. |

Three disappeared during the middle of the term, but at least I have my memories (and the two left). |

Lots of little fishies live at the pond, too. |

In a six person apartment with only two roommates, it's heaven! (Left: Emily, Right: Kathy) |

My family came to Utah after Spring Term to bring Jordan to BYU, and my dad and I hiked Mt. Nebo. |

We didn't quite make it to the top, but we did hike at least ten miles that day. It was fun! |
